This species is found in all oceans and seas of the world except in very cold waters of both poles.
These jellyfish can be held in captivity with an aquarium adapted thereto.
They have a life of about 1 year. In nature, these jellyfish are born early in the year, to grow until the end of summer, reproduce and die in autumn. They follow the annual cycles of plankton.
These jellyfish are stinging, nevertheless we recommend using gloves when handling them to prevent any allergies.
